History
The Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys (WSAMA) was formed in 1957 by municipal attorneys in Washington State and was formally incorporated as a private, nonprofit organization in 1986.The purpose of WSAMA has always been:
- to provide a way for city attorneys in the state to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with each other and with other municipal corporations and bodies; and
- to hold conferences addressing common municipal problems, allowing for greater knowledge and expertise and fostering uniform opinions and interpretation of laws.
