Membership Types

WSAMA has three types of membership. Both General and Associate Memberships run from January – December and must be renewed each year.

General Membership - $30
General membership is open only to those who serve by election, appointment, employment, or contract as a city attorney or prosecutor or assistant or deputy city attorney or prosecutor for any city or town within the State of Washington or is an attorney practicing municipal law devoted to representing and/or advancing the interests of Washincton cities or towns. General members are eligible to serve as a WSAMA director or officer and to vote at elections for WSAMA offices and on issues which come before the WSAMA general membership.

Associate Membership - $75
Associate membership is open to any attorney admitted to the practice of law in the State of Washington (not otherwise qualified for general membership); any officer/employee of the State of Washington or its political subdivisions; or any attorney who represents a city or municipality of any other state in the U.S. or Canada. Associate members are not entitled to serve as a WSAMA director or officer, vote or take other member action or receive notice provided to members. 

Honorary Life Membership - No Dues
Honorary life membership is open to those who have served for 25 years as a city attorney or prosecutor or an assistant or deputy city attorney or prosecutor in Washington State. Do you qualify as an honorary life member? Email the WSAMA Admin to have your name added to the list: admin@wsama.org
